Meet Our Doctors
Leslie Spangler, DDS
Dr. Leslie Spangler grew up in Eau Claire and graduated from Memorial High School. She then moved to Madison and completed her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in medical microbiology and immunology with highest honors. While pursuing her studies rigorously, she also enjoyed her time as a trumpet player in the Wisconsin Marching Band.
Following graduation, Dr. Spangler moved across the border to Minneapolis to attend dental school at the University of Minnesota. There, she developed a passion and skill in the area of endodontics (root canals), periodontics (gum treatment), and pediatrics. Upon graduating from dental school, she immediately returned home to Wisconsin and the Chippewa Valley.
Today, Dr. Spangler lives in Eau Claire with her husband, Bill; their three young children, Sylvia, Nolan, Charles; and their black Labrador, Stella. When not seeing patients, Dr. Spangler enjoys long distance running, reading, and following Wisconsin Badger sports. She is a member of the Northwest District Dental Society, Seattle Study Club, and Chippewa Valley Study Club.
Aimee D’Amour, DDS
Dr. Aimee D’Amour had the pleasure of joining Clearwater Dental in February 2022 and she could not be happier to be part of this amazing team.
Dr. D’Amour is proud to have grown up in Michigan’s beautiful upper peninsula, which is known for its outdoor recreation. She completed her undergraduate studies in biology and chemistry at St. Norbert College in De Pere. Wisconsin, while playing on the basketball team. After that adventure, she continued on to attend Marquette University School of Dentistry, earning her DDS in 2013. Dr. D’Amour strives to provide excellent, honest care to her patients and treat everyone like family. Because there is always more to learn, she is passionate about continuing education and has completed advanced courses in implants and Invisalign®. For the past 10 years, she has had the opportunity to practice in various locations around the Midwest while her husband, Nathan, completed his medical training. They are thankful to be settling down in Eau Claire with their two young daughters, Avery and Elloise.
When not in the office, Dr. D’Amour loves being in the great outdoors whether it be a snowy winter or sunny summer. Favorite activities include both downhill and cross-country skiing, biking and spending weekend at their family’s lake house in the gorgeous Northwoods. Any opportunity to enjoy live music will gladly be taken advantage of. Over the next few years, Aimee and Nathan are looking forward to exploring their new hometown of Eau Clarie and having fun along the way.
Eric Talus, DDS
Dr. Eric Talus grew up in Plymouth, MN and was exposed to dentistry at a young age in his father’s dental practice. He completed a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at Gustavus Adolphus College before starting dental school at Marquette University. He graduated from Marquette with honors in 2018.
Following graduation, Eric moved to South Carolina and then to Indianapolis as his wife, Allie, completed her medical education. After 6 years of practicing dentistry around the country, Eric is happy to be back in Wisconsin. While new to the Eau Claire area, it has quickly felt like home.
Dr. Talus values carefully and honestly explaining options and promises to take the time to answer any questions you have prior to starting treatment. Outside of work, Eric enjoys spending time with family, hockey, golf, running, hunting, and going on long walks with their dog.

Bobbi – Clinic Manager
I love being part of the Clearwater Dental team. It’s truly a joy to work in such a positive atmosphere with amazing doctors and team members. Everyone is focused on delivering the best care and creating healthy smiles for our patients. Even better, they make our patients smile and laugh while they’re here! I want our patients to have a wonderful experience and look forward to seeing us again.
My husband, Mark, and I have three children, 32 grandchildren, and one dog. We love time at our home in the country, morning workouts, camping and boating.
Jackie – Business Manager
Jackie has been a valued member of our team since 2011. She appreciates working in a smaller practice alongside dedicated colleagues and takes pride in assisting patients by addressing their inquiries and applying her expertise in insurance benefits.
Jackie and her husband Jay are parents to two adult sons, Preston and Payton. She has one grandchild named Winslie. When she’s not at work, she likes to go to sporting events, read, take walks and travel to warm destinations for vacations.
Kattie – Operations Manager
I became a member of Clearwater Dental in December 2024. Being part of a collaborative team is truly rewarding. My goal is to contribute to the day-to-day operations by streamlining schedules and improving productivity, ultimately supporting efficient patient care.
I’m married to Sam, and together they have two sons, Carson and Vincent. The family also owns two dogs, Hurley and Bo. I value spending time with my family and enjoy activities such as weightlifting, participating in game nights and camping.
Jessica – Patient Coordinator
I have been with Clearwater Dental since July of 2023. I love being a part of a team that helps others achieve a great smile. My knowledge with dental insurance allows me to help patients utilize and understand their benefits.
I have a boyfriend named Daniel, a daughter named Sophia, and a cat named Jynx. In my spare time I like to do yard work, gardening, working out, sitting in the sun, having fires(inside/outside), fishing, and going shopping. I also like hanging out with family at BBQ’s and game nights.
Brooklynn – Student Intern
I’m currently a senior at Menomonie High School. I’m an intern here at Clearwater and plan to attend Mankato for a four-year majoring in dental hygiene. My favorite hobbies are shopping, spending time in the sun and traveling.
Renee – Dental Hygienist
I have been part of the team for six years! I like building meaningful, lasting relationships with patients, while providing comfortable care. Each patient has his and her own clinical and personal needs. By listening to and talking with them, I’m able to help them learn that they’re in good hands while here. While I clean a patient’s teeth and provide preventive care, I teach them about oral health. Together, we find the home dental hygiene practices and products that will keep their smile healthy and beautiful.
I’m originally from Sauk City and now live in Fall Creek with my husband and our sons, Shane and Casey. We have two Australian Shepherds, Dixie and Monty. I enjoy walking and hiking with the dogs, gardening, and being outdoors.
Alana – Dental Hygienist
Clearwater Dental has been a great step in my dental hygiene career after graduating from Northcentral Technical College in 2021. The close-knit team and patient-oriented office is exactly the fit I wanted. It has been a great experience getting to know our patients and helping them further their dental hygiene education. While I am not at work, I enjoy being the outdoors and hanging with my friends and family. I also have an Australian shepherd named Loyd who keeps me on my toes.
Nashlynn – Dental Hygienist
I joined Clearwater Dental team in May of 2024. I’m originally from central Illinois and relocated here for my husband’s job. One of my favorite parts of being a hygienist is bringing joy to my patients’ day. I’m passionate about educating others about their oral health status and helping them achieve their goals associated with it. I love the team atmosphere here and its been great match for me.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband, CJ and our miniature dachshund, Pepper who is our pride and joy. I’m, known to always have a trip, event or concert to look forward to, so make sure to ask what’s coming up next.
Sarah S.– Dental Assistant
I enjoy working with our patients, making sure they have a positive experience and leaving with a smile. It’s fun to get to know people and build relationships with them. I look forward to their visits and catching up on their lives. I prepare patients to see the doctor, take impressions and create models, prepare and mix materials, and perform laboratory functions. I also offer chairside assistance, making sure the doctors have what they need while making sure our patients are relaxed.
When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy going to see live music and have been fortunate to perform live with some local groups.
Jackson – Dental Assistant
At Clearwater Dental, I enjoy seeing smiling faces every day. As a dental assistant I look forward to working with our amazing team to provide quality care for our patients.
Outside the office I love cooking new recipes, exploring the outdoors and spending time with my cat.
Catelyn – Patient Coordinator
After earning my bachelor’s from UW – Stout, I joined Clearwater Dental. Outside of work, I enjoy coaching dance, attending hot yoga classes and spending quality time with my family up north.

Kennedi – Dental Assistant
Following my graduation at UWEC, I have been working with each doctor as a dental assistant. I have been learning and gaining experience at Clearwater Dental as I prepare my application for dental school. I love the community here and my passion for dentistry grows each week I am here.
In my free time, I love experimenting with new recipes and baking treats. I’m usually talking about the latest book I’m reading or sharing about a bracelet I’m working on. Spending time with friends and family is important to me, and I never miss a Packers game.
Vicki – Dental Hygienist
I joined Clearwater Dental in June 2025, and I enjoy working with a positive, supportive team. I graduated from CVTC in 2011 where I received my associate’s degree. One of the things I love most about dental hygiene is building relationships with my patients and helping them feel comfortable.
I reside in Chippewa Falls with my husband, Kris. We have two children, Hunter and Olivia, as well as two dogs named Zoe and Mavis and a cat called Humphrey. When I’m not at work, our family enjoys spending time together outdoors — one of the greatest perks of living in Wisconsin.
Chloe – Clinic Float
I take pride in providing support to my team and ensuring the office operates efficiently wherever my assistance is required.
When I’m not at work you can find me trying new recipes and hanging out with my friends and family or going on long peaceful drives.
Lindsey – Dental Assistant
I’m a proud native of the area and graduated from CVTC Dental Assistant program in 2017. I enjoy getting to know our patients and building genuine relationships with them over time. I’m passionate about helping change the way people think about going to the dentist by creating a positive, comfortable experience at every visit.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my three daughters Natalie, Alaina and Lauren. We enjoy traveling, exploring new places, trying new foods and spending time outdoors whenever we can. At home I like to unwind by cooking and reading, especially with a good cup of coffee nearby.
Brianna – Dental Assistant
I take pride in ensuring that our patients receive excellent care each day. Building positive relationships and understanding their individual backgrounds contributes to delivering outstanding service.
My soon-to-be husband, James, and I run our own trucking business. When he’s not on the road, we love spending time with our children, McKenna and Kash. Our favorite activities include hunting, snowmobiling and working together to restore a 1966 Chevy pickup.
